Saving money is always your first step into Financial Independence, Retire Early (FIRE). Getting a big fat paycheck does not equal to wealth if you do not practice saving habit and frugality.
I started to track all my expenditure one year ago. I always think that I am a saver until I look at my daily/monthly expenditure. After buying my expensive million-dollar house, I only manage to save about 30-40 percent of my monthly pay.
I believe I have to save more so that I can achieve my financial independence, retire early ( FIRE) as soon as possible.
I went on to check my expenditure and noticed that I spend almost MYR100-150 every month to buy fruits alone. Me and my wife like papaya every much and the price of papaya has been steadily going up the past few years.
We decided to plant our own papaya tree and guess what, it only takes minimal effort to grow papaya tree.
